Long Term Exchange Program

About:

Duration is about one academic year, during which the student lives with at-least two families in the host country and is required to attend high school. Eligible students going on exchange during their gap year are required to attend high school full time in their assigned foreign country – it’s a mandatory part of this cultural immersion.

Safety is of utmost importance and therefore the host Rotary club carefully screen and select the host families. Moreover, the local host Rotary club provides a monthly pocket money and assigns a dedicated counsellor to help you get the most out of your exchange. The challenges are great, but so are the benefits.

Benefits:

Financials:

Expenses vary based upon the country and respective district where the exchange occurs. Parents and Guardians are expected to cater the following expenses:

Rules and Obligations:

Rotary International has prescribed a set of rules of conduct to be followed by the students during exchange. The rules are framed in the interest of the safety and wellbeing of the students and have to be strictly obeyed during the entire tenure of the exchange. Any violation of the rules of conduct by the student will lead to immediate deportation from the host country.
